CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - October 02, 2016) - As YYC readies to open to the world, the Calgary Airport Authority, stakeholders and community gathered on Saturday evening for the official unveiling of Calgary International Airport's new International Terminal. "This generous donation will go a long way to help families in crisis."

"The Calgary Food Bank's support to Calgarians is incredibly important," said Garth Atkinson, President and CEO of the Calgary Airport Authority. "The Authority and YYC community really rallied together in making this donation a reality and I am really proud that collectively we could also a play a small role in helping the Calgary community."

Since the downturn in the Alberta economy two years ago, the Calgary Food Bank has seen a steady increase in need as people's savings and severance packages run out.
