USFCR Client the Brandon Green Management Group Receives Nearly $380K Multi-Year Sub-Contract Award

SILVER SPRING, MD--(Marketwired - October 03, 2016) - US Federal Contractor Registration is pleased to announce that The Brandon Green Management Group (The BGM Group), LLC received in August 2016 a $379,571.92 multi-year sub-contract to provide health care management consulting services and subject matter expertise to the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center, a division of the Defense Center of Excellence for Traumatic Brain Injury and Psychological Health.

The prime contractor, with whom The BGM Group is working, is General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) Health Solutions Division.

The BGM Group is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and a USFCR Verified Vendor providing consulting and management services, and also direct labor in the areas of project and program management, health care consulting, and general administration services.

George Langbein, the company's founder and CEO, said the subcontracting opportunity was really about being in the right place at the right time, as his wife, Jean Langbein, President and Managing Director of Healthcare Consulting of The BGM Group, learned of the opportunity while working with the GDIT. While transitioning from GDIT to come work for The BGM Group, the opportunity presented itself, and accepting the sub-contract allowed her and the company to tap into her significant experience with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, with which she has provided health care services to service members and veterans who have traumatic brain injury.

Of course, right-time, right-place only works if a company is set up to accept government contracts, such as the one The BGM Group received, and it credits US Federal Contractor Registration with making sure they were eligible to receive the sub-contract.

"USFCR helped me become a registered government contractor and set up the tools the company needs to succeed," said George Langbein. These tools, he added, including a complete and valid System for Award Management (SAM) Registration, a website, and federal bid training.

Eric Knellinger, president of US Federal Contractor Registration, said that opportunities like the one made available to The BGM Group happen, so companies should always be prepared to act -- and act quickly in most cases.

"There's no time to go through the SAM Registration process if you're given a chance to work on a government contract," said Knellinger. "That's why I recommend anyone interested in government contracting, or anyone who thinks they may one day be interested, have in place a SAM Registration. If you do, then you're always ready to act and won't miss out on a lucrative job because the government couldn't legally give it to you."

George Langbein separately echoed Knellinger's remarks.

"You must be aware of all potential opportunities," he said. "You never know where they may come from."

US Federal Contractor Registration helps its clients complete and maintain a System for Award Management (SAM) Registration, access contact information for federal buyers in their industries, develop award- and contract-winning marketing techniques and plans, and also uniquely position themselves for success.
