DHHS Releases Public Notice About Fitness and Well-Being Services

ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwired - October 03, 2016) - The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) released on Monday, October 3 a sources sought notice for information about the availability of a contractor to provide fitness and well-being services to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) during FY17.

The NIH is looking for a contractor that can support its fitness and well-being program. The NIH currently plans for this contractor to provide introductory fitness classes and experiences to employees who may not be willing to "dive into" a new experience, as well as special events to increase participation for the entire NIH workforce.

Information obtained via this sources sought notice will help the government determine if it can issue the contract to a business that qualifies as at least one of the following: HUBZone small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, 8(a) small business, veteran-owned small business, woman-owned small business, or small disadvantaged business

Contractors that are small businesses, even those that cannot qualify for a set-aside contract, and that can provide the fitness and well-being services indicated above, are invited to submit the following information to Contract Specialist Anne Mineweaser by no later than 5 p.m. EST on October 3:

• Organization name, address, email address, website address, and telephone number
• Size and type of ownership (e.g., HUBZone small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, 8(a) small business, veteran-owned small business, woman-owned small business, or small disadvantaged business)
• Business experience (i.e., past performance)
• Capability statement

To receive the contract, contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database, and have as part of the Registration all current Representations and Certifications.
