BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 5, 2016) - Pwnie Express, the leading provider of device threat detection for wired, wireless and IoT devices, today announced the appointment of William (Bill) Swanson, former Chairman and CEO of Raytheon, to its board of directors. Swanson brings more than four decades of leadership experience working with government, enterprise and the armed services to Pwnie and its growing customer base.

Swanson served as chairman and CEO of Raytheon from January 2004 to March 2014. He retired from Raytheon in September 2014, finishing a forty-two-year career with the company. During Swanson's tenure as CEO, Raytheon's stock price and dividend increased three-fold.

He is actively involved in the Boston community as chairman of the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership and vice chairman of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation board of directors.

He is also active in the field of education as chairman of the California Polytechnic State University Foundation board of directors, and as a member of the Cal Poly President's Cabinet and the University of Massachusetts President's Advisory Council.
