Minerva Tantoco Joins New York Hall of Science Board of Trustees

Queens Resident and Advocate of NYSCI, Tantoco Was New York City's First Chief Technology Officer


QUEENS, NY--(Marketwired - November 02, 2016) - The New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) has elected Minerva Tantoco to its Board of Trustees. Her three-year term as a Trustee began on October 6, 2016.

Tantoco is a senior advisor at Future\Perfect Ventures, a woman-run, early stage venture capital fund based in New York City. Previously, she served in the administration of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio as New York City's first-ever chief technology officer. Her diverse career in technology also includes positions at Palm, Fannie Mae, UBS and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Tantoco has been featured as a guest speaker at industry events around the world, most recently delivering the keynotes at CE Week 2016 and Insight Forum: AI in Focus.

Tantoco grew up in Flushing, Queens and attended New York City public schools including the prestigious Bronx High School of Science.
