Western Dermatology Consultants Urges Albuquerque and Beyond to Vote

The dermatologist-led practice with two offices and a spa is closing early on Nov. 8 so the staff has ample time to cast their ballots

ALBUQUERQUE, NM--(Marketwired - November 04, 2016) - Each dermatologist at Albuquerque's Western Dermatology Consultants is concerned about skin health, but the skin-focused practice's patients and their friends and family should know that the team is also committed to the health of the community and country. That's why on Election Day -- Tuesday, Nov. 8 -- the practice will be closing its doors at 2 p.m.

The Western Dermatology Staff will use their free time in the afternoon to head to polls and cast their votes, exercising the freedom and right central to a working democracy.

In addition, Dr. Leslie Glass will not be coming in to work at all on Nov. 8, because she decided to volunteer to drive people to the polls throughout the day, helping men and women who would otherwise find casting their ballot to be a limiting challenge.

Western Dermatology Consultants has one office at 10151 Montgomery NE and another at 4801 McMahon NW. The eastside location is also home to the Spa @ WDC, which offers cosmetic dermatology to complement the medical dermatology focus of the other two branches.

When not actively helping to decide on the future of the city, state, and nation, the dermatologists handle treatments for acne and scarring, skin cancer, nail fungus, and dry skin. The cosmetic team focuses on the aesthetic benefits of smoothing wrinkles, restoring lost volume, removing unwanted hair, rejuvenating the face, and more.

The connection between the spa and medical side allows patients to feel confident that they are getting the ideal treatment for their problem -- and emphasizes the importance of everyone working together toward a common goal of improvement. Just like the United States of America!

Wherever you work, be sure to take the time to let your voice be heard. Casting your ballot is an important part of life in this country. And when you head to the polls, don't forget to wear sunscreen. Proper skin protection is vital to guard against damage from the sun, whatever takes you out and about.
