TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - November 07, 2016) - Digiflare is partnering with Hearst Television to support the launch of Hearst TV's local news streaming experience on the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick.

To reach 26 local news markets served by Hearst TV stations on the Amazon Fire TV platform in a short timeframe, the Digiflare team delivered a single Android code base that supports localized versions with distinct branding and content feeds. Digiflare's engineering team leveraged the existing code from Hearst Television's internally developed Android application to deliver an outstanding native Amazon Fire TV app.

Each localized version of the app provides a fully immersive local news experience, including on-demand newscasts, clips, and in-app notifications for breaking news and weather as well as an ability to favorite videos for later viewing.

The project was delivered by Digiflare's professional services team using a collaborative "scrum" that worked closely with Hearst TV's product and engineering teams.
