AllerGuarder Announces Partnership with Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT)

Innovators behind the world's first Bluetooth-powered allergy bracelet collaborate with the world's leading non-profit food allergy organization to raise awareness for all affected by food allergies

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 7, 2016) - AllerGuarder, a company founded by dedicated parents and technologists anxious about their children's food allergies and distressed by the explosive growth of the worldwide food allergy epidemic, today announces its partnership with the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT), an organization with a mission to educate, advocate, and raise awareness for all individuals and families affected by food allergies and life-threatening anaphylaxis. Effective Immediately, AllerGuarder will donate $1 for each bracelet sold to FAACT in order to help further the team's mission to bring greater awareness to the allergy community.

"As a father of three food allergy kids, the driving force behind my creation of AllerGuarder has been my desire to make sure our friends, family, and all who may interact with my children are aware of the dangers behind food allergies in general, and specifically, that they are aware of my children's food allergies," said Avram Weissman, CEO of AllerGuarder. "This is why our partnership with FAACT is so beneficial. Like other food allergy parents, the AllerGuarder team relies on FAACT as one of our main resources for information and support as we navigate through the trials and challenges of raising and safeguarding our food allergy children. Whether it be guides to dealing with food allergies in schools, tips for travelling with our food allergy children, or alerts about allergy related food product recalls, FAACT is everyone's voice for food allergy awareness."

As the first Bluetooth-powered bracelet and app defense system, the technology behind AllerGuarder helps parents, friends, teachers and caregivers stay vigilant and aware when a child with food allergies is present. When the child is nearby and wearing the AllerGuarder bracelet, anyone who has downloaded the free app, available on iOS and Android, will be sent alerts and reminders about the child's potentially life-threatening food allergies. These alerts ensure awareness among family and friends, helping to prevent accidental exposure and dangerous allergic reactions.

"FAACT is proud to partner with AllerGuarder. As parents of children with life-threatening food allergies, we are excited to have a new technology available for families. Not only is AllerGuarder providing a new, innovative resource, but they also live and get it, which is advantageous to the food allergy community. We look forward to a long partnership with AllerGuarder," states Eleanor Garrow-Holding, FAACT President and CEO.

The AllerGuarder Tech Allergy Bracelet is available for $49.95 on the AllerGuarder website.
