Official Opening of Maison Martin-Matte - Pavillon Patrice-Villeneuve and Immeubles H.S.F., Phase II
QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 7, 2016) - Maison Martin-Matte - Pavillon Patrice-Villeneuve and Immeubles H.S.F., phase II, are celebrating today the official opening of their shared five-storey building, which comprises a total of 75 affordable housing units for people living with the after-effects of traumatic brain injuries, persons with physical limitations, as well as families and individuals. The development of these two projects required a total investment of over $13.2 million.
Having these two projects together in the same building is a great example of social mix. The first two storeys of the building are occupied by the 30 adapted housing units of Maison Martin-Matte - Pavillon Patrice-Villeneuve. Among other amenities, there is a community room, which provides a place to respond to tenants' special needs. As for Immeubles H.S.F., phase II, this project occupies the top three storeys, where 45 new affordable housing units with one to three bedrooms were built. It should be noted that the building has an underground parking garage with 56 spaces.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Member of Parliament for Québec; François Blais, Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity and Minister responsible for the Capitale-Nationale region, on behalf of Martin Coiteux, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Minister of Public Security and Minister responsible for the Montréal region; Chantal Gilbert, Member of the Executive Committee of the City of Québec; and Martin Matte of the Martin-Matte Foundation.
