DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 7, 2016) - The Canadian Labour Congress and the Council of Canadians will host a town hall meeting in Halifax on Thursday, November 10 to discuss why Canada must not sign the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.
Speakers at the town hall include CLC Secretary-Treasurer Barbara Byers, National Chairperson of the Council of Canadians Maude Barlow, and CFNU President Linda Silas. They will discuss the impacts the TPP will have on Canadians, particularly the negative impacts to health care and the effect the agreement would have on the Halifax community.
