Apivio's Liberty L2 Wi-Fi Phone Completes BroadSoft Interoperability Testing

Liberty L2 becomes Apivio's second product to achieve interoperability with BroadSoft network of over 600 service providers across 80 countries

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - November 08, 2016) - Apivio Systems Inc. ("Apivio" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: APV), a leading provider of VoIP solutions, today announced that its Liberty L2 Wi-Fi handset has successfully completed interoperability testing with BroadSoft, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: BSFT) BroadWorks® SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) interface. Apivio can now market and sell the Liberty L2 to BroadSoft channel partners, telecom service provider customers, resellers and integrators. Following its Monet UT880 Android desk phone, the Liberty L2 becomes Apivio's second product to complete interoperability testing with BroadSoft's BroadWorks SIP.

"SIP interop validation for the L2 on the BroadWorks call control platform is a huge development for Apivio that significantly grows our distribution channel," stated Rob Bakshi, President and CEO of Apivio Systems Inc. "With the L2 now compatible with BroadSoft BroadWorks SIP interface, alongside our UT880, BroadSoft service provider customers and dealers can offer a range of Apivio products and solutions for their end customers including desk phones for offices and Wi-Fi phones for intra-office and warehouse mobility."

BroadSoft is the leading provider of cloud-based unified communications ("UC") telephony solutions, with over 15 million total hosted UC lines deployed through more than 600 service provider customers (including 25 of the top 30 by revenue) across 80 countries. With a leading 41% market share in the fast-growing cloud-based UC sector according to Frost and Sullivan, BroadSoft represents a new and significant channel for Apivio to market its compatible products, the Liberty L2 and Monet UT880. Apivio is approaching telecom operators and other channel partners that either sell or deploy BroadSoft-compliant equipment.

In addition to achieving interoperability with the BroadSoft SIP interface, Apivio will be exhibiting at the annual BroadSoft Connections conference in San Antonio, Texas from November 13th to 15th to introduce its line of BroadSoft-compatible phones. Hundreds of BroadSoft service provider customers, as well as industry leaders and market influencers, will be in attendance at the BroadSoft Connections conference.

Designed for residences and large enterprise facilities alike, the Liberty L2 Wi-Fi phone from Apivio allows users to communicate across multiple locations or large campuses, with fast and seamless handoffs between Wi-Fi access points. Compliant with IEEE802.11a/b/g/n, the Liberty L2 supports HD Codec G.711.1 and G.722 for crystal clear voice quality, along with better calling security over any of today's smartphone VoIP apps.
