New York, US, Nov. 14, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TORONTO, November 14, 2016 - Thomson Reuters announced the winners of the Thomson Reuters Lipper Fund Awards 2016 for Canada. The Lipper Fund Awards honors funds and fund management firms that have excelled in providing consistently strong risk-adjusted performance relative to their peers.
The Lipper Fund Awards were presented on November 6th, 2016, at a ceremony in Toronto, Canada. Phillips, Hager & North collected the top group award for overall fund group. CIBC Nasdaq Index Class A, Mawer Canadian Equity Series A, PH&N Short Term Bond & Mortgage Series D, and TD Science & Technology Investor Series each won three individual awards. Six Group Awards, plus the coveted Overall Award, are given to firms with superior performance across asset classes.
Lipper data covers more than 285,000 share classes and over 129,000 funds in 62 markets. It provides the free Lipper Leader ratings for mutual funds registered for sale in over 40 countries.
