Media Advisory: Nation-wide campaign to ban asbestos gets support in Windsor


WINDSOR, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 24, 2016) - The CLC will host a news conference at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28 at the Unifor Local 200-444 Hall to address the need for a comprehensive ban on asbestos. The news conference coincides with the launch of two online videos earlier this month that raise awareness about the danger posed by asbestos and the need for a ban. Experts and activists will talk about the effects of asbestos exposure on workers and their families. Surviving family members of victims of asbestos-related illnesses will also be on hand to share their personal stories with the media.
