Zoom Added to Internet2 NET+ Program for Higher Education Video Collaboration

Video Communications Platform can help Higher Education Widely Deploy Collaboration Solutions with New Service Delivery Partnership

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - November 28, 2016) - Zoom today announced that it has become an Internet2 NET+ service provider to offer research and education institutions a customized and standards-based version of Zoom's video conferencing solutions. Internet2 NET+ Zoom offers member institutions common pricing and terms, and a secure, trusted framework for encouraging university-wide adoption of Zoom by staff, faculty, and students.

NET+ Zoom enhances collaboration among educators and administrators and allows schools to expand their impact across geographies to reach more students and offer new learning opportunities. Everyone in a university can have online video meetings to attend classes, office hours, and departmental meetings from any device.

This partnership furthers Zoom's long-standing relationship with the education sector. Zoom counts over 5,800 schools among its customers, with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 71 among its education users.

"We have deployed Zoom widely at Notre Dame to our students, faculty, and administrators because the video technology is a good fit for higher education due to its features and fine quality. Their partnership with Internet2 will provide a framework for new institutions to benefit from Zoom," said Paul Drake, Product Services, Office of Information Technologies at the University of Notre Dame.

"Zoom has been very well received in the research and education community, so we are very pleased to enhance Zoom's relationship with our members through the NET+ program," said Ben Fineman, Program Manager for NET+ Video, Voice, and Collaboration Services with Internet2. "This new relationship will be beneficial both to institutions who haven't yet deployed a video solution as well as those already using Zoom."

"We are proud to announce Zoom's partnership with Internet2," said Eric S. Yuan, Founder and CEO of Zoom. "Now more students, teachers, and administrators can benefit from Zoom's high quality video, audio, and screen sharing, as well as our powerful education features such as video breakout rooms, LMS integration, support for Chromebooks, MP4 recording, and video webinars. Internet2 will streamline the purchasing and deployment process for these institutions, giving the best end-to-end customer experience."
