TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - December 06, 2016) - On Thursday December 1, 2016 the University of Toronto hosted the final session in the fall series of Entrepreneurship 100: Conversations. The event's panel of entrepreneurs, Christina Cai, co-founder of Knowtions, Hamad Naseem, co-founder of Flarian, and Foteini Agrafioti, co-founder of Nymi, spent the evening answering questions from the audience and spoke about the first steps in founding their businesses.

"We are excited about the interest for this series from University of Toronto students and the broader community," said Prof. Cynthia Goh, academic director of U of T Entrepreneurship and director of the Impact Centre. "Entrepreneurship is vital to bringing science to society, and Entrepreneurship 100 helps start conversations between experienced founders and those thinking about starting their own businesses."

Entrepreneurship 100: Conversations was created from a need for live-only events where panelists can speak candidly about their experiences in founding and running companies. The free events were moderated by Charles Plant, an entrepreneur, advisor, teacher, and senior fellow at the Impact Centre. Online polling and questions during the first hour as well as a networking session during the second hour of the events allowed attendees to engage with the panelists.

The first three session of Entrepreneurship 100 brought nine entrepreneurs to the University of Toronto over three evenings. These diverse founders told their stories, answered questions and helped ignite conversations on what it takes to become an entrepreneur, how entrepreneurs find their ideas and how to get started.

Building on the success of the inaugural Entrepreneurship 100: Conversations series, additional sessions will take place in March 2017 to help expose students and the public to entrepreneurship.
