CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - December 06, 2016) - The Holiday Parking Elves are back at it again for the sixth year in a row! Our cheerful Elves are kicking off the holiday season on Saturday, December the 10th and Saturday, December the 17th via the gift of FREE two-hour parking sessions. The Elves will be in Inglewood, 4th Street, Kensington and 17th Ave between 11:30am and 4pm starting as many free parking sessions as possible. The Elves will also be randomly handing out $10 ParkPlus Welcome Credits to visitors in these areas.
The Calgary Parking Authority has collaborated with these local areas to invite people to take in the festivities and grab a bite to eat, all while checking off their holiday shopping list.
CPA General Manager Mike Derbyshire says, "The Holiday Parking Elves are a great way to support Calgary's bustling local businesses and communities by sharing the gift of free parking. This campaign brings joy and warmth to people, even on a cold winter day."
To qualify for the two-hours of free parking, parkers either have to approach a Holiday Parking Elf and ask for a free parking session PRIOR to making a parking payment or be randomly approached by an elf.
A total of 1000 free two-hour parking sessions will be given out by CPA's Holiday Parking Elves during the campaign.
