PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - December 06, 2016) - New York has adopted a Clean Energy Standard which establishes increasing renewable and alternative energy targets and allows retail suppliers (ESCOs) to manage their own compliance procurements. The standard calls for 50% renewables by 2030, including provisions for new resources, and provides for nuclear subsidies as well as payments for "maintenance" renewable resources in the short term.
