DMscore Announces Bill Lockyer as Head of Advisory Board and Launch of Service in California

Former California Attorney General will help company launch free, cloud-based service for personal injury lawyers in California on December 7.

PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 07, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DMscore announced today that it has retained Bill Lockyer, former California Attorney General, Treasurer and President Pro Tempore of the California Senate, to head the company’s Advisory Board. Mr. Lockyer will be advising the company on creating a cloud-based service that will enable attorneys to improve their online acquisition of clients.

“We are thrilled to have Bill help launch our first service, targeted to lawyers”, said Rand Schulman, Chairman and CEO of DMscore. “As the former California Attorney General, he is one of the most trusted authorities for lawyers, assuring our service provides high standards for the legal profession.”

DMscore, which stands for digital marketing score, will launch its service for personal injury attorneys in California on December 7. The cloud service computes a numerical score for law firms that ranks their online marketing performance against local competitors. The service also provides specific recommendations to improve member marketing, and automatically connects lawyers with trusted online marketing partners to implement recommended changes.

"Marketing legal services online can be difficult for attorneys,” said Mr. Lockyer. “It is not clear where to best invest so clients can find you online - Google, Facebook, legal directories, or somewhere else? DMscore takes the confusion out of this decision, by providing an easy-to-understand measurement of marketing performance, and clear advice on how to attract clients online. And because it is free, there is no downside to signing up for the service.”

DMscore raised $2.5 million in initial funding from a group of early-stage investors, and has created an advisory board that includes former California State Superintendent of Instruction and State Senator Jack O’Connell, and Russ Nash, CPA, Managing Partner at Professional Education Services.

"On December 7, personal injury lawyers will be able to obtain their score and understand how their online marketing compares to competitors - at no cost,” continued Mr. Lockyer. “It is our job as an advisory board to make sure the company provides clear, unbiased advice to lawyers.”

“DMscore is not a marketing service provider,” concluded Mr. Schulman. “It is a data-driven marketplace that helps lawyers get the best ROI from their marketing.”
