Rogers Sugar Inc.: Mr. Stuart Belkin to Retire as Director and Chairman of the Board

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 9, 2016) - Rogers Sugar Inc. (the "Corporation" or "Rogers") (TSX:RSI) announces that after over twenty years of association with Rogers, Lantic Inc. ("Lantic") and BC Sugar Refinery Limited dating back to 1995, Mr. Stuart Belkin will be retiring as a Director and Chairman of the Board of the Corporation and Lantic upon conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on February 1, 2017.

The Boards of the Corporation and Lantic have selected Mr. Dallas H. Ross as Chairman Elect of the respective Boards, which will become effective upon the retirement of Mr. Belkin. Mr. Ross has a long association with the Corporation and its predecessor entity, Rogers Sugar Income Fund, dating back to 1997.

Mr. Belkin's position on the Board, subject to election of the Directors at the Annual General Meeting, will be filled by Mr. Gary Collins. Mr. Collins previously served as a Director of Lantic for more than 5 years from July 2007 to September 2012.
