NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - December 13, 2016) - Most people have heard about the latest tech toys, but not many have actually played with them. At the B&H SuperStore in Manhattan, customers can demo drones in a testing cage with a B&H sales professional, dive into the world of virtual reality, and play the latest PS4 and Xbox One games -- all without paying a dime.

Most Americans have not yet experienced drones and VR, despite the tremendous media attention the new technologies enjoy. A major reason for that is the lack of accessibility.

"People are very curious about drones and virtual reality," said Eli Daskal, director of the SuperStore. "But they are hesitant to buy these immersive technologies without trying them first. They see YouTube videos about them, read technology articles about them, but ultimately don't have firsthand knowledge for an educated shopping experience."

B&H changes that. The store has a large section of its second level dedicated solely for drones, virtual reality, and gaming experiences. Shoppers are welcome to try anything they want -- from demoing a DJI Phantom 4, wearing a Samsung Gear VR, or playing FIFA 17 and other new titles on the Xbox One S or PS4. What's more, there is no limit on time or number of products one person can test. The interactive experiences are accessible to everyone during store hours.

Drone Testing Cage

Measuring 900 cubic feet (10' x 10' x 9'), the Drone Testing Cage allows shoppers to demo any drone on display in the store including the DJI Phantom 4, Phantom 3 4K, Inspire 1, 3DR Solo, and others with the help of a B&H sales professional. Users can become familiar with the varying flight sensitivities, smart flight features, and the drone controller itself. One-button aerial flips are also on the table.

To view all drone equipment,

Virtual Reality Arena

The Virtual Reality Arena is located conveniently next to the drone cage. Customers are welcome to try on a wide variety of VR headsets, including the Samsung Gear VR (compatible with Samsung smart devices), Zeiss VR One (compatible with smart devices 4.7" to 5.5"), Merge Goggles (compatible with most iOS and Android smart devices), and other headsets.

Note: The VR content on B&H devices is limited, so shoppers are encouraged to download content on their personal devices before coming to test them at the SuperStore.

To view all virtual reality and 360 video equipment,

Gaming Zone

The Gaming Zone is also located on the second floor, close to the drone and VR areas. Here shoppers can play the latest titles for the Xbox One S or PS4, experience driving simulators, and try on the latest gaming headsets.

"Ultimately, people want to know what they're paying for," Daskal said. "We are happy to give our customers that piece of mind. Seeing the smiles on their faces is an added bonus."
