Torani Selects Widen Collective to Share Assets, Build Global Community

Renowned Creator and Distributor of Beverage Solutions will use Digital Asset Management Solution to Unite Partners around the World

MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - December 14, 2016) - Torani, the creator of naturally flavored syrups, sauces, and beverage bases for over 90 years, has selected the Widen Collective for its digital asset management (DAM) needs. The family-owned company, which is based in San Francisco and distributes products in over 40 countries, will use Widen's cloud-based DAM solution to share content and connect its community of partners across the globe.

Jennifer Morimoto, Torani's Senior Digital Marketing Manager, says the problem was simple: The company has thousands of assets -- from posters, window clings, and photography, to sell sheets and presentations -- but no streamlined way to share them with domestic or international partners.

"We were looking for an easy way to share files, but the opportunity isn't just that. The real opportunity is to find a solution that further enhances our work with our partners around the world," Morimoto explains.

Morimoto and her team reached out to colleagues in the technology and market research industry for advice about DAM vendors, who gave Widen a glowing recommendation.

"There is a lot of synergy between our two companies," Morimoto says. She was also impressed by Widen's search capabilities, the most important item on their must-have list, including advanced search and collections features.

"We needed it to be simple and user friendly," she says. "Everyone searches differently, so an advanced search mechanism was a priority."

Sylvie Mwila-Jonath, Torani Director of IT, worked with Morimoto to take full advantage of Widen's offer to trial the Collective before making a final decision, and invited a select group of international partners to use the test environment and share crucial feedback. Allowing customers to be a part of the test environment drove faster adoption for both administrators and users.

In the next year, Torani plans to expand access to its internal sales team, domestic distributors, and external partners -- a total of around 300 users.

"In the future, we hope to integrate with the rest of our technology ecosystem to share data between systems, thus making our assets much more useful," Mwila-Jonath says. "It's our hope that Widen will be our single source stream for all marketing assets."

"We're delighted to welcome Torani to the Widen Collective family," stated Chris Rewey, Senior Widen Advisor. "We're proving to have just the right ingredients making up the secret sauce of Torani's celebrated brand. Credit Jennifer for recognizing DAM as the foundation to building a brand and seeing Widen as the total package."
