EDF's statement following on Polish Government's decision on EDF Polska

The EDF Group takes notice of the Polish Government's decision received on the 12/12/16 to object to the division of EDF Polska.

This division was part of the asset disposal process of EDF Polska in accordance with CAP 2030 Group strategy. It aimed to separate cogeneration activities (heat and power) of EDF Polska from those related to the generation of the coal-fired plant of Rybnik (power only).

The EDF Group regrets this decision, which precludes it from exercising its legitimate rights as a shareholder, in particular the right to close the ongoing sale processes with EPH and IFM.

Consequently, the EDF Group is examining the reasoning underlying this refusal and, in the meantime, reserves all of its rights."

A key player in energy transition, the EDF Group is an integrated electricity company, active in all areas of the business: generation, transmission, distribution, energy supply and trading, energy services. A global leader in low-carbon energies, the Group has developed a diversified generation mix based on nuclear power, hydropower, new renewable energies and thermal energy. The Group is involved in supplying energy and services to approximately 37.6 million customers, of which 27.8 million in France. The Group generated consolidated sales of €75 billion in 2015, of which 47.2% outside of France. EDF is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange.
