GetWellNetwork to Participate in 2017 Telehealth Education Delivered (TED) Program at VA Medical Centers Nationwide

Company's patient engagement solutions to be featured in Iron Bow Technologies' Telehealth Education Delivered (TED) demonstration vehicle

BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwired - December 15, 2016) - GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, announced today that the company will be participating in the 2017 Telehealth Education Delivered (TED) Program. TED is a mobile demonstration vehicle created by Iron Bow Technologies to increase the use of telehealth within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by raising awareness of how these technologies can improve overall efficiency while enhancing patient access, outcomes and experiences.

Beginning in January 2017, the TED vehicle will make more than 200 stops at VA Medical Centers, federal hospitals, clinics and facilities across the country throughout the year. TED will showcase technologies that enable telehealth in many areas such as mental health, rural health, surgery, wound care, audiology, primary care, non-invasive cardio, dermatology and more. VA administrators, clinicians and staff can view demonstrations of GetWellNetwork's IPC technology as well as various other telehealth solutions.

According to the Honorable Dr. David J. Shulkin, Under Secretary for Health for the VA, "One of the most important ways we deliver health care to our Veterans today is through Telehealth. It helped more than 300,000 Veterans in fiscal year 2016 access and interact with their VA care team."

"GetWellNetwork is proud to support the VA's strategic goals to modernize Veteran medicine with innovative technologies, move from 'sick care' to Whole Health, and provide personalized, proactive and patient-driven care that inspires Veterans to become active participants in their health," said David Wright, MPH, SVP of Government Services for GetWellNetwork. "We are excited to participate in the TED program to demonstrate how IPC can be leveraged to improve coordination and access through teleheath during and outside the point of care."

VAs, Veterans, their family members and caregivers can follow GetWellNetwork on Facebook, Twitter (@GetWellNetwork) or LinkedIn to find out where the TED vehicle will be next. Or, track its route on the TED2Go website, Twitter (@ted2go) or Instagram (#ted2go) pages.
