ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 20, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), a leading provider of Health IT solutions to the federal government, is pleased to announce that the proceeds from its 19th Annual Golf Invitational at Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, MD have been donated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Special Love, an organization benefiting children with cancer.
This year, 220 players and several volunteers came out for a great day of golf and to raise funds for cancer victims and their families. Contributions from the October 21, 2016 event totaled $47,496. With PSI's 100% matching donation, a record-breaking total of nearly $95,000 was donated. Of this amount, $38,554 was donated to the LLS, and $53,138 was donated to Special Love. The checks were presented to both charities by CEO Terry Lin at PSI’s Holiday Party at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City on December 10th.
