Myositis is a rare but debilitating muscle disease that can result in rapid and tragic muscle loss, and hence mobility limitations. In recent trials with patients affected by Myositis, B-Temia’s Dermoskeleton™ has shown to enhance mobility capacities.

“B-Temia’s Dermoskeleton™ was developed to help individuals with mobility limitations due to diseases such as Myositis. We are very pleased to collaborate with Myositis Canada and contribute to the awareness of this rare condition,” stated Stéphane Bédard, CEO of B-TEMIA.

“We are proud of collaborating with a company like B-Temia that developed a great technology that has the potential to benefit many individuals with Myositis. Joining forces will be a win-win combination to raise awareness of both the Dermoskeleton™ and Myositis,” added Herb Malcomson, President of Myositis Canada.

Man with Myositis to take part in the 10K at the Ottawa run on May 27
Martin Jarry, a policeman and hockey coach, was diagnosed with Myositis a year ago at the age of 46. He has since embarked on a journey to dramatically increase awareness about Myositis. On May 27, he will run the 10K in Ottawa to raise funds for Myositis Canada. To accomplish his goal, he is training every day, and he will be wearing B-Temia’s Dermoskeleton™, without which it would be impossible for him to complete the run.

“May is the month of Myositis. Team up with me in Ottawa, and help me raise money so we can help diagnose and treat Myositis,” said Martin Jarry.
