Balbix's Founder and CEO Gaurav Banga to Present at Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit

Noted Cybersecurity Veteran to Speak on Predictive Risk and Enterprise Cyber-Resilience

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 7, 2017) -  Balbix, Inc., provider of the security industry's first predictive breach-risk platform, today announced that company founder and CEO Gaurav Banga will share insights on predictive risk and enterprise cyber-resilience in a session titled "Do You (Really) Know Your Breach Risk?" at the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, taking place June 12-15, 2017, in National Harbor, Md.

Who: Balbix founder and CEO Gaurav Banga has a strong track record in cybersecurity, having pioneered the concept of micro-virtualization, a signatureless approach to stopping malware attacks. Prior to founding Balbix, Banga founded the endpoint security company Bromium to bring micro-virtualization to market and served as its CEO for more than five years.

What: During the Solution Provider Session "Do You (Really) Know Your Breach Risk?," Banga will discuss how IT risk and security practices will need to become predictive in order to block attacks, given the constantly expanding attack surface of the enterprise and the ever-changing and shifting threat landscape. This presentation is aimed at CISOs, CIOs, and security and risk managers, and will show how AI, automation and advanced visualization can help revolutionize enterprise IT risk management. Balbix's new technology continuously and automatically measures breach risk across hundreds of attack vectors -- surfacing weak links, critical systems and likely propagation paths across the enterprise in a real-time risk heat map. A high-fidelity predictive view of risk can help security teams improve an organization's cyber-resilience and ultimately its ability to get ahead of the adversary. Gaurav will also be joined by other cyber-security leaders -- early adopters of this technology -- who will share their experiences.

When:
Wednesday, June 14th, 2017
3:15 p.m. EST

Where:
Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, Room Potomac B, Ballroom Level
201 Waterfront St.
National Harbor, MD

Why: The enterprise attack surface is growing at a very rapid pace, while security teams continue to be overwhelmed -- reacting to a steady stream of events corresponding to attacks that have already happened. Instead, we need predictive and comprehensive breach-risk visibility across the attack surface. This would enable defenders to pick the right mitigations and prioritize security projects to prevent many attacks from happening in the first place, and to greatly limit the impact of incidents that slip through the extended enterprise perimeter.
