VERMILION, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 19, 2017) - Local seniors will soon have new affordable housing options in Vermilion. Construction is underway at the Vermilion Valley Lodge where 52 new units will be built and 34 existing units will be upgraded to ensure they meet current fire and safety standards.
The Governments of Canada and Alberta are investing approximately $11 million in the redevelopment of Vermilion Valley Lodge through the Investment in Affordable Housing Agreement. Along with government funding, Vermilion and District Housing Foundation will provide close to $2.5 million to the project.
