AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 21, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Austin veterinarian Emergency Animal Hospital of Northwest Austin is pleased to announce the recent addition of two new doctors to its clinic, Katelyn Thompson, DVM and John Pullen, DVM.

Katelyn Thompson, DVM is a graduate of Mississippi State University, Class of 2016. Following her graduation from college, she completed a small rotating internship at a referral animal hospital and emergency practice located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Thompson’s professional areas of focus include surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care.

Dr. Thompson grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in a close-knit family. In her free time, Dr. Thompson enjoys running, outdoor activities, exploring the city of Austin, and spending time at home with her beloved Sphinx cat, Baldwynn.

John Pullen, DVM is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, Class of 2017. He felt a strong pull toward an emphasis on emergency medicine while earning his degree. Prior to attending college in Oklahoma, Dr. Pullen also worked for three years as a chemist in Houston, TX in the biofuel industry.

In his spare time, Dr. Pullen enjoys sailing, canoeing, bicycling, listening to music, and exploring the city of Austin. He also enjoys relaxing at home with his pets, including a cat named Pearl and a black Lab named Abby.
