Visa debuts the Visa Screening Room, now at The Princess of Wales Theatre

Visa renews TIFF sponsorship for another five years

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - August 22, 2017) - Visa today announced it has renewed as a major sponsor of the Toronto International Film Festival® (TIFF) for another five years through 2021. The sponsorship includes special benefits for Visa cardholders in addition to exclusive theatre branding rights for the newly relocated Visa Screening Room at the Princess of Wales Theatre. The renewal is a signal of Visa's ongoing commitment to offering exclusive value to Visa cardholders and expanding access for filmgoers with experiences that heighten the Festival experience.

The Visa Screening Room at the Princess of Wales Theatre will premiere highly-anticipated features films where Visa Infinite and Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders have exclusive benefits, including early access to tickets and to the Visa Infinite Lounge. The films premiering at The Visa Screening Room at the Princess of Wales Theatre include:

  • Suburbicon, directed by George Clooney, staring Matt Damon and Julianne Moore
  • Mother, directed by Darren Aronofsky, staring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem
  • The Carter Effect, directed by Sean Menard and produced by Drake
  • First They Killed My Father, directed by Angelina Jolie

Visa Infinite cardholders will also have access to a Visa priority line which gives them early access to the theatre. In addition, the Visa Infinite Lounge will also host the IMDb Studio which will produce exclusive interviews with celebrities at a nearby location during TIFF's opening weekend.
