Engineering and Geoscience Regulator Introduces New Brand

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - August 23, 2017) - Today, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC) announced a new name and brand identity. From now on, APEGBC will be doing business as Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.

"With our new name comes a new logo and visual identity, and a new strategy for expressing who we are," said Chief Executive Officer and Registrar, Ann English, P.Eng. "We are modern, diverse, and we practice to the highest professional and ethical standards, as individual engineers and geoscientists, and as a trusted regulator."

The change is a key deliverable of the regulator's 2014-2017 Strategic Plan. It has been implemented to better reflect Engineers and Geoscientists BC's role as a progressive regulator that works in the public interest, and to raise the profile of its members -- engineering and geoscience professionals.

"Our members are explorers and problem solvers. They are constantly learning, and constantly innovating," said English. "As a regulator, it's our job to make sure this work happens safely, and to the highest professional and ethical standards. Although our name is changing, our focus will always be on safety and protecting the public interest."
