Tiny New Low-Cost ATA Rounds out Patton’s FXS VoIP Product Line

Sporting intelligent features, Patton’s new SmartNode 100 Analog Telephone Adapter series is the smart alternative to a “dumb ATA”

SmartNode™ VoIP… More than just talk!

GAITHERSBURG, Md., Oct. 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Patton Electronics—US manufacturer of UC, cloud, and IoT enabling solutions for carrier, enterprise and industrial networks—is now shipping the new low-cost, high-quality analog telephone adapter (ATA) customers have been asking for…  the new SmartNode™ 100 Series.

Easy to install and simple to use, the SN100 ATA connects up to two standard analog POTS phones or fax machines to any Voice over IP (VoIP) service provider.

Equipped with two RJ-11 FXS phone interfaces, this tiny device is the lowest-cost VoIP gateway Patton has ever produced—without skimping on quality.

With the SN100 installed, users can VoIP-enable existing analog phones and fax machines to talk or fax over the Internet the way they used to do with a traditional landline phone service.

The little box is so small you can easily place this adapter just about anywhere.

“We were wrong,” said Bret Patton, Product Manager, “earlier this year when we said ATAs are going obsolete. As it turns out, the VoIP market has remained robust and customer demand for ATAs is still quite strong. Actually, what we said was ‘dumb ATAs’. So maybe we were right after all. The SmartNode ATA is quite a bit smarter than other brands.”

Sporting such intelligent features as call waiting, call transfer, call forward as busy forward, non-answer forward, unconditional forward, do-not-disturb (DND) support, and 3-way conferencing, the SN100 is no ‘dumb ATA’.

“Customers have been asking us for a basic low-cost VoIP gateway,” Bret continued, “and we listened. The SN100 ATA is our answer.”

Last Week, Patton announced joining forces with FiberPlex to build an enterprise communications infrastructure powerhouse.
