Archadeck of Nova Scotia Receives Archadeck Outdoor Living’s Design Excellence Award in the Deck Category

Archadeck of Nova Scotia was awarded the Archadeck Outdoor Living Design Excellence Award for Decks

Richmond, Virginia, Oct. 13, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Maurice Meagher, owner of the Nova Scotia location in Canada, and his team were awarded Archadeck Outdoor Living’s Design Excellence Award in the deck category. Team members Roeland Leenes and Ashley Girard are the designers responsible for the exquisite multi-level deck project. The contest recognizes design excellence in several project categories among its franchise locations. As North America’s largest custom designer and builder of outdoor structures and spaces, Archadeck Outdoor Living has grown to a franchise network of over 50 locations across the United States and Canada.

Presented annually, the Archadeck Design Excellence Award is granted in different project categories including decking projects, hardscape or patio projects, and porch and room projects. The winners of those categories are then entered to win the Design Excellence Award Grand Prize, which is determined by a collective vote by the Archadeck franchisee network.

“The couple is ecstatic with their new backyard space,” said Maurice Meagher. “They can’t wait to spend more time outdoors and we’re so proud to not only make that happen and win Archadeck’s Design Excellence Award.”

The homeowners of Archadeck of Nova Scotia’s winning deck project had an outdated existing deck which was removed and replaced with a multi-level entertainment area. The upgraded deck and the new patio below it provide plenty of space for lounging, grilling, and dining. Silver Maple TimberTech composite decking is accented with black aluminum railing and glass inlays to maximize their view. Riser lights were added to safely guide residents and guests down the steps from the deck to the new patio below.

Below the upgraded deck is a new curved Trevista paver patio. Stone steps leading from the shaded area below the deck to the exposed patio area by the deck’s stairs allow the homeowners to lounge in the shade or sunshine. To finish the space and seamlessly integrate the new deck and patio with the existing home’s aesthetics, columns were wrapped in white vinyl and custom stone facing.

“We are pleased to present this award to Maurice Meagher, Roeland Leenes, Ashley, and the entire Archadeck of Nova Scotia team,” stated Mike Reeder, VP of the Archadeck Outdoor Living Brand. “They continue to demonstrate their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to designing and building exquisite outdoor living spaces that meet their client’s needs and expectations.”

The winning projects will be featured in the Archadeck Design Excellence Award photo gallery, which can be found on the company’s website at www.Archadeck.com.
