Windels Marx Expands Real Estate Group With Hire of Special Counsel

Lynn Weinig joins the NYC law firm, focusing on real estate and corporate matters


NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Windels Marx LLP, a Manhattan-based firm with more than 145 lawyers, recently announced the addition of Lynn Weinig as Special Counsel to the firm’s real estate and public finance practices in the New York office. The firm was recently named the 7th largest real estate practice in New York by The Real Deal.  

Lynn will focus on real estate and corporate related matters and will advise clients on a broad spectrum of areas, including general and commercial matters, public sector and real estate.

Prior to joining the firm, Lynn practiced extensively in the field of real estate law in both commercial and residential real estate transactions, including representation of real estate associations that comprised not for profit, condominiums and cooperatives. Additionally, she has experience in public sector law, where she has previously been involved in legal management of complex public-sector projects involving infrastructure, regulatory compliance, land use, environmental issues, construction, contracting, and risk management.

Lynn has provided counsel in legislative matters, board representation, policy development, program planning and implementation, transactions, real property management and disposition, bidding and procurement procedures, as well as general litigation.

Lynn has also been involved in contracting, permitting and holding agency proceedings with federal, state and county regulatory agencies, including the Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Health (state and county), Public Service Commission, New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation, United States Environmental Protection Agency, and New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

Lynn is licensed to practice in New York. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Pace University School of Law and her B.S. in Business, Personnel and Industrial Relations from Ithaca University.
