Nine Military Families Each Presented with $1,300 in Groceries


LAKEWOOD, Wash., Nov. 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Eckrich®, the makers of naturally hardwood smoked sausage and perfectly seasoned deli meats, partnered with Safeway to honor nine local military families on Friday. Eckrich hosted a special military appreciation event to honor our service men and women.

During this special event, each of the military families went on a $300 in-store shopping spree. In addition to the shopping spree, Eckrich surprised each of the families with a $1,000 gift card. In total, the gift is valued at $11,700.

The nine service men and women came from all branches of the military. Frank Armoinare served in the United States Army for three years. Jerdil Castillo served in the United States Army for three years. Steven Caudle served in the United States Army for 12 years. Caudle and his wife have three children. Zachary Haas served in the United States Army for two years. Darrell Jones served 12 years in the United States Army. Jones is married and has six children. Andrew Ologban served in the United States Army for 12 years. Ologban is married and has four children. Rochelle and Steven Reid are both service members. Rochelle served in the Navy for eight years. Her husband Steven served in the United States Army for 20 years. Together, the couple has three children. Jim Shuffelen served in the Marines for eight years. Shuffelen is married and has two children. Sean Wiley served in the United States Army for 28 years. Wiley is married and has two children.
