Four B.C. colleges to deliver the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) program

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - November 22, 2017) - The Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) is pleased to announce that Camosun College (Victoria), Douglas College, Langara College, and Okanagan College are offering the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance program across B.C.

The Canadian CPA profession has designed the ACAF program for individuals who want to elevate their accounting and finance skills to an intermediate level. Certificate-holders possess the advanced technical skills demanded by top employers in Canada, which is the first step to a rewarding career.

"We are excited to see our long-term partners, Camosun, Douglas, Langara, and Okanagan College offer the ACAF program. This is an exciting opportunity for our prospective students, as these newly formed partnerships will allow for even greater flexibility for those wishing to pursue the certificate program. The schools' commitment to developing and delivering a quality ACAF program will help meet the increasing demand for workers with accounting and finance knowledge," said Lori Mathison, FCPA, FCGA, LLB, president and CEO of CPABC.

Students who have enrolled in the ACAF program before December 31, 2017 will receive supported transition to one of CPABC's post-secondary partners, where they will be able to complete the remainder of the program.
