Live Oak Bank Announces Jennifer Williams Joins Renewable Energy Lending Team

WILMINGTON, N.C., Jan. 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Live Oak Bank announces Jennifer Williams will serve as a senior loan officer for the bank’s renewable energy lending team, which focuses exclusively on utility-scale solar, energy storage and waste-to-energy project financing nationwide.

Williams has spent nearly a decade in solar energy finance, including roles at Sol Systems, Self-Help Credit Union and Ventures Fund, Mosaic and Sungevity. In her work prior to joining the Live Oak team, she managed solar acquisitions, project financing, and lending, and has closed or delivered more than 70 megawatts of solar investments. She will continue this work with Live Oak’s renewable energy customers who are developing utility-scale solar assets.

“Jen’s deep experience in the solar industry paired with her lending expertise is a perfect fit,” said Jordan Blanchard, general manager of renewable energy at Live Oak Bank. “Live Oak’s dedicated renewable energy lending team is committed to financing clean energy and helping utility-scale developers grow. For the last two years, Live Oak has been the nation’s largest lender to solar developers, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Energy for America (REAP) loan program, and Jennifer’s industry savvy will help us continue to drive that leadership forward.”

Williams holds a master’s degree in environmental management from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University in Durham, NC, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC, where she graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. She received a bachelor of arts degree with honors from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT.

Williams will be based at Live Oak’s office in Washington, DC.
