Terbium Labs Shares its Dark Web Expertise and Data Intelligence at Leading Tradeshows and Conferences in Early 2018

Executives to Speak at Upcoming Events Including AAAS Annual Meeting, Strata Data Conference and RSA

BALTIMORE, Feb. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Terbium Labs, the premier dark web intelligence company will send key executives to leading tradeshows and conferences in the first quarter of 2018.  As the company behind Matchlight, the world's first fully private, fully automated data intelligence system, Terbium Labs provides a unique perspective and original insights into the fast growing, yet often misunderstood, dark web, and auxiliary technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data and quantum computing.

Dr. Daniel Rogers, CEO and Co-Founder of Terbium Labs will moderate a panel at the prestigious American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas, Feb. 15-19.  Each year, the AAAS Annual Meeting brings together leading scientists, educators, policymakers and journalists to discuss cutting-edge developments in science, technology and policy.  Danny will moderate the session, "Prospects for Long-Term Information Security in the Face of Quantum Computing," where experts in the burgeoning field of post-quantum cryptography discuss new ways to secure data for the long-term in the emerging post-quantum digital world.

Terbium Labs' CTO Clare Gollnick will present, "The Limits of Inference: What Data Scientists Can Learn from the Reproducibility Crisis in Science" at the Strata Data Conference, March 5-8 in San Jose, Calif.  The session will examine the role researchers in genetics, neuroscience, molecular biology, and psychology played in helping to pioneer formal statistical inference methodologies to learn from multidimensional datasets. However, today these fields are plagued by an unreliable and uninterpretable body of literature in what experts are calling a reproducibility crisis. Clare will examine the philosophy of data science, share a framework that explains (and even predicts) the likelihood of success of a data project, and demonstrate how data scientists can learn from the mistakes of the past to better use and scale statistical inference.

In April, Danny Rogers will return to the speaker's circuit with a solo presentation at the RSA Conference, April 16-20, in San Francisco.  His session, "#FakeNews as an Information Security Problem," will take a close look at disinformation's place in security, how it parallels to other information security problems, and what efforts are underway to combat it.
