Inforce Computing launches Inforce 6320, an application ready platform fit for IoT edge gateways based on the Snapdragon™ 410 SoC

FREMONT, Calif., Feb. 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Highlights:

Inforce Computing®, Inc., a leading provider of Snapdragon™ embedded computing platforms and solutions, today announced Inforce 6320, a fully featured industrial system intended as an Internet of Things gateway.  This application ready computer differs from what has been seen on the market because of its unique features such as dual Gigabit Ethernet with support for Power over Ethernet, both client and host, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and compute capabilities with optional routing interfaces.  These features adapt to a wide variety of solutions in the IoT space in remote and demanding environments.

Featuring the powerful Snapdragon 410 quad core system-on-chip, Inforce 6320 has the advantage of long-life supply commitment, advanced wireless connectivity, and the Adreno 306 GPU for comprehensive video processing at the edge.  This off-the-shelf system supports 1GB RAM LPDDR3 and 8GB eMMC.

Connectivity includes USB2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n @2.4GHz, and Bluetooth LE 4.1.  This application ready platform also supports interfaces 1080p HDMI with H.264 decode and USB which can support a UVC camera.

With Power over Ethernet support through dual ports, Inforce 6320 can provide both an ethernet connection and ability to power your system in any location with a single cable thus allowing you to interface custom communication modules easily.  To go a step further, Inforce 6320 allows you to power additional Inforce 6320 based gateways or IoT devices with cameras, meters, radar, and other sensors with a single cable.

Inforce 6320 system is a fanless design offering EMI shielding and a sheet metal enclosure with integrated aluminum heatsink.  The system supports the extended temperature range of -30° to 85° to withstand rugged and harsh environments.

With this fully integrated system, developers can take advantage of a proven, existing platform for wide-ranging IoT networking edge devices and be able to take their product to market quickly at a lower cost.  Inforce 6320 comes with full support for a Linux Debian distribution and Snappy Ubuntu Core where you can create various Linux app packages called snaps.  This design allows build-to-order configurations and Inforce can provide support and services to match your specifications.

Inforce 6320 is available for pre-order on the Inforce store online for $250 USD which includes the Snapdragon 410 based single board computer, EMI shielding, enclosure with integrated heatsink, Debian Linux BSP with drivers for all available interfaces, and access to the Inforce TechWeb.  An additional $10 can be added for the starter kit which includes a 12V power adapter.

Inforce Computing will be attending Embedded World from February 27 to March 1, 2018 in Nuremberg, Germany at Arrow’s booth #4A-340 and Atlantik’s booth #3-141.  See Inforce 6320 live in person at the show where you can learn more on how you can leverage Inforce for your IoT edge gateway.
