This unit is NEMA 4X rated for indoor and outdoor hazardous locations, including but not limited to flammable worksites and other locations that need the ability to power loads different from the line voltage available.
The ETX-BBT-208V-236V-46.8A-2X0.75S from Larson Electronics is an 11 KVA rated, single-phase step-up explosion proof buck and boost transformer. It has a primary voltage of 208V AC, using a maximum of 53.1 amps on the primary side, as well as a 236 secondary-voltage that provides up to 46.8 amps on the secondary side. This buck and boost transformer directs the majority of the load voltage directly through the unit, transforming only a small percentage of the load. This allows the unit to be more compact and run quieter, this equates to higher energy savings and more environmental benefits.
The ETX-BBT-208V-236V-46.8A-2X0.75S is a NEMA 4X-rated unit that offers protection against critical equipment failure, and includes a power source that is isolated from the connected device. Cast aluminum housing and winding made from high-quality magnetic copper wire, along with a watertight gasket and coated cores to prevent the ingress of moisture inside the device, greatly improve this transformer’s performance. This explosion proof transformer features terminal strips for connection to the input and output wiring. This unit is compatible with surface mount applications and has a 180°C insulation with a 115°C temperature rise.
