TORONTO, April 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adam, the mobile app that connects you with your neighbours for everyday tasks, is now available on Android.

Last year, Adam Helps debuted the Adam app as an on-demand platform to connect with those around you for odd jobs.  Initially launched on iOS only, today the app makes its way to the Google Play Store.

“Many hands make light work, so we created the Adam app to connect people easily with the local help they need,” said founder Adam McLeod.  Adam users are people who want to outsource errands and housework, to people who want to make extra cash locally.

"We want the app to be accessible to as many Torontonians as possible, so we've expanded to Android devices as of April 2nd,” said founder Adam McLeod. “The app has been so well received by iOS users but in order for everyone to have a good experience on the app, we do need to increase the number of people posting and completing jobs. It only made sense to develop an Android version.”

The Adam app benefits two types of Canadians: Helpers, who are given the opportunity to help someone locally and earn cash while doing so; and Users, who are able to access on-demand assistance in their category of choice. As an extra perk, Adam Helps spreads even more of the help around, making a donation to a local partner charity in the name of the user for every job completed.

By all accounts the app has enjoyed early success with over 3,000 downloads, 470 completed tasks completed to date.  The most popular categories have been cleaning, babysitting, pet sitting, and small home tasks.  The Adam app is available for download on iOS and Android in the GTA with Canada-wide expansion in 2018.

“Now almost anyone with a smartphone can download Adam and hire local help, or complete jobs for their neighbours,” McLeod said. “We are so excited to see where we go next with Adam.”
