Washington, D.C., April 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Prison Fellowship, the nation’s largest Christian nonprofit serving prisoners, former prisoners, and their families, is raising awareness about the obstacles facing formerly incarcerated men and women by hosting the Road to Second Chances prayer walk in SE Washington, D.C. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 as a part of Second Chance Month.
More than 130 organizations across the country are partnering with Prison Fellowship for an event featuring a prayer walk, personal second chance stories, a reentry fair at the DC Dream Center and networking.
Road to Second Chances Prayer Walk to DC Dream Center
Who: Prison Fellowship and Second Chance Month—featuring more than 130
partner organizations dedicated to unlocking opportunities for the more than 65
million Americans with a criminal record, are sponsoring the event.
When: Saturday, April 7th beginning at 9:30 AM. Media check-in begins at 9:00 AM.
Where: Meet at Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion, 1900 Anacostia Drive, SE,
Washington, D.C., to begin Prayer Walk.
What: Prayer Walk travels through Anacostia neighborhoods to the DC Dream Center

Why: Prayer walk includes periodic stops, featuring the compelling stories of formerly
incarcerated men and women, telling of their struggles to begin a new life.
