Valsoft Joins Concordia University’s Co-op Education Format

MONTREAL, April 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Valsoft, a company specialized in the acquisition and development of software businesses in vertical markets, has joined Concordia University progressive Co-operative education format by offering full time employment to highly qualified John Molson School of Business (JMSB) undergraduate students.

In North America, Co-operative education is at the forefront of educational innovation, and Concordia University is a recognized leader in the field. By alternating program-relevant work experience with academic study, co-op students graduate with the kind of practical experience sought by today's employers. Concordia was among the first universities in Canada to establish a Co-operative education curriculum and leads the way in preparing students for real-world challenges.

JMSB offers Co-ops in Accountancy, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Business Technology Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Operations Management.

By opening their business to the Co-op education format, Valsoft’s founders and Concordia alumni Stephane Manos and Ouissam Youssef, reaffirm their commitment to support the university’s mission to merge academics and hands-on work experience in industries where rapid change is the only constant. “We see this as an absolute win-win-win situation for Concordia, its students and Valsoft,” explained Manos. “Talent drives our business and we can certainly benefit from being in a position to be the first to identify and nurture gifted students, while giving them practical know-how to prepare them for any path they may choose.”

"We have had a great experience with Concordia Alumnus. The university's diversity, openness to new technologies and new ways of doing things is forming a generation of skilled and versatile graduates that tend to do very well in an entrepreneurial organization such as ours. We intend to make Valsoft a rewarding, yet arduous training ground for the finest JMSB students. Our company is still very much fueled by the entrepreneurial spirit that drove us to succeed when we were Concordia students,” added Youssef. We will welcome candidates interested in learning the intricacies of acquiring companies in the software industry and who demonstrate a desire to succeed in a hustle-and-bustle entrepreneurial environment.”
