Teradici Expands Cloud Access Software with new Cloud Access Manager SaaS Service, And Enhances Its PCoIP Management Console

Built on trusted PCoIP technology, Teradici Cloud Access Software now includes a brokering and provisioning service and Management Console’s latest release now supports Remote Workstation Cards

BURNABY, British Columbia, May 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Teradici®, the creator of PCoIP® technology and Cloud Access Software, releases Cloud Access Software 2.12 that now includes the availability of Cloud Access Manager, a SaaS brokering and provisioning service, and Management Console Enterprise 3.1.

For many industries including media & entertainment and construction, it has become increasingly valuable to centralize applications and workstations. Teradici’s latest enhancements to our PCoIP solutions, including Cloud Access Software and Management Console, bring new peripheral, brokering and management functionality to our customer ecosystem. Cloud Access Manager introduces an easy to use brokering and provisioning service that can be used with AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure or in a private data center deployment. These new offerings provide an end-to-end solution for existing and new customers looking to easily build secure virtual workspaces and transition workloads to the public cloud or private data center.

“As our customers rapidly shift significant portions of their applications and workloads to the public cloud or data center, we continue to innovate to support their business needs while providing the high-performance and secure experience they depend on,” said Dan Cordingley, CEO of Teradici. “With the release of Cloud Access Manager, and the new features added to our end-to-end solution, we know that leading industries including media and entertainment, government and manufacturing, will be able to streamline processes, ensuring they are able to securely scale.”

Cloud Access Software 2.12 and Cloud Access Manager

Cloud Access Software 2.12 now includes Wacom tablet support on Windows and Linux environments, a feature developed specifically for the media & entertainment industry, and one that was largely discussed and demonstrated at the recent NAB Show, the largest event for the media, entertainment and broadcasting technology industry.

"We needed a virtualization technology that took away the workstations under the artists' desks but kept the creative content secure. Teradici Cloud Access Software allowed our studio to increase the security of creative content, stay compliant with MPAA requirements and use the well-established and cost-effective PCoIP Zero Clients," said Daire Byrne, Global Head of Systems at Double Negative. "Our new environment is virtualized and hosted on-premises which keeps our office more comfortable and quiet, while providing comprehensive support for Linux and Wacom tablets."

Cloud Access Manager is a cloud-native service that streamlines management of Cloud Access Software and automatically deploys new remote desktops and workstations in a cloud environment. The service enables effortless scaling of virtual machines, brokers secure connections between users and remote workstations, and optimizes cloud consumption costs with features like power management.

“Teradici Cloud Access Manager’s simple management interface allows us to broker our users to their workstations whether they are in our data center or on Microsoft Azure, and we get this functionality as part of Cloud Access Software without any additional cost,” said Jeremy Smith, CTO at Jellyfish Pictures. “On Azure, it also helps us save cloud compute costs by automatically shutting down virtual machines when they’re not in use.”

With its latest updates, Cloud Access Software 2.12 with Cloud Access Manager makes it easier for organizations to deploy creative applications and enables them to scale faster and easily in any cloud.

The latest version of Cloud Access Software with Cloud Access Manager is available through the Teradici Cloud Access and Cloud Access Plus subscriptions and available to try through evaluation licenses in Desktop Access and Workstation Access.
