VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rizal Resources Corporation (TSXV:RZL) (“Rizal” or the “Company”) issues the following release to update shareholders on a fatality that occurred at the T’boli mine site.

At 9.30am Monday 28 May, a rockfall at the T’Boli mine during access rehabilitation works, killed one of our underground employees. The site of the rock fall has been isolated, and all personnel have been safely accounted for.  All other areas of the mine are safe and operating as normal. 

All relevant authorities have been informed and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines (DENR) have commenced their investigation.

As more information comes to hand, additional announcements will be made. Our sympathies are with the miner’s family. The company remains in close contact with the family and is providing all the necessary support required.
