Defying Cancer: Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in D.C. Partners with Story Corps

Moving stories of cancer patients, their doctors and care teams highlight Kimmel's patient centered approach to cancer care.


Washington D.C., June 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In celebration of cancer survivorship, Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital has partnered with StoryCorps to collect the stories of resilient cancer patients in the Metropolitan Washington-area and the journeys they’ve travelled with their medical teams. The stories, recorded in early May 2018, invite listeners into the lives of patients and give them the chance to hear first-hand about the will, courage, and drive of individuals facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
