Proven technology leaders create phenomenal momentum for intelligent candidate discovery solution that combines data, intelligence, and predictive capabilities to transform talent acquistion

San Francisco, July 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Censia, the intelligent candidate discovery technology that companies use to break bias and hire the best candidates based on merit, today announced that Ron Storn, chief people officer at Zume Inc. and former vice president of people at Lyft, has been appointed to Censia’s board of directors. Additionally, Mark Leslie, founding and former CEO of Veritas Software and Alan Guarino, currently vice chairman of Korn Ferry, have been appointed to Censia’s board of advisors.

“Ron, Mark and Alan bring a combination of deep industry experience in people, AI, automation and entrepreneurship that would be difficult to find anywhere else,” said Joanna Riley, CEO and co-founder of Censia. “I’m thrilled to welcome them to our team.”

“We’re excited to add these three experienced, industry-leading individuals to the Censia team,” said Peter Kent, Censia President, COO and co-founder. “All three are dynamic, successful entrepreneurs who will help guide Censia through our growth and maturation.”

With almost two decades of talent acquisition and hyper-growth experience, Storn brings a wealth of knowledge to Censia’s board of directors and will look to help Censia’s platform for accessing the global talent pool while eliminating the human error and bias plaguing hiring today. As Zume’s chief people officer, Storn is defining how humans and machines will work together to transform entire industries. At Lyft, Storn oversaw the company’s growth from 80 employees to over 2,000, and personally engineered the development of Lyft’s unique corporate culture. Before Lyft, Storn led talent acquisition efforts at Facebook and Google.

“As an innovative talent acquisition veteran, I am excited to join forces with Censia in providing cutting-edge AI to disrupt the talent acquisition landscape,” said Storn.

With over 30 years of experience in Silicon Valley, Leslie is a disruptive startup technologies veteran. He is the former CEO of three Silicon Valley startups, including Veritas Software, where during his tenure as CEO, the company went from 12 employees to 6,000 employees and from annual revenues of $95,000 per year to $1.5 billion. Leslie currently serves on a number of high-tech startup and nonprofit boards. Leslie is a lecturer at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, where he teaches entrepreneurship, ethics and sales organization.

“Censia brings new dynamic technology to the talent acquisition space through a deep understanding and utilization of big data interpreted through data science and machine learning, said Leslie. “Led by an experienced and seasoned management team, Censia has an excellent opportunity to disrupt the hiring process.”

Guarino brings a unique perspective to the talent world. As a vice chairman at Korn Ferry, a former chief executive officer and an experienced consultant working with corporate boards and executive teams to drive business and talent management strategies, Guarino has helped revolutionize the world of HR. Guarino is a successful entrepreneur who has founded and grown businesses in the staffing and executive search businesses. At Korn Ferry, Guarino has spent the last 10 years focused on the ever-changing technology world of fintech and the capital markets.

“We believe the role of human resources is at the dawn of an enormous transition — a change that will drive better talent decisions throughout the company to create an edge over competitors,” said Guarino. “Imagine what happens when a CEO empowers an enlightened, ambitious human resources leader to revolutionize the HR model, turning the group into a powerful secret weapon. That HR department would unleash the power of their talent like never before. Censia and organizations like it are helping to drive this powerful evolution.”

As members of Censia’s boards of directors and advisors, Storn, Leslie and Guarino will help drive the company’s growth as it continues to gain market share in leading corporations. The team will look to help those corporations receive high-potential, in-demand candidates identified and engaged through an astounding depth and breadth of candidate data by using Censia.
