Anchore Unveils Commercial Release of Popular Container Security and Compliance Software

Anchore Enterprise Extends Anchore Open Source Engine for Enterprise Customers

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Anchore, Inc., creator of the popular open source containersecurity and compliance platform, today announced the newest release of Anchore Enterprise, complete with a graphical policy editor, rich user interface (UI), dashboard, audit logs, configurable on-premise vulnerability data service, and more.

Anchore’s security policy controls go further than many existing image scanning solutions that typically provide only basic vulnerability listings (CVEs).  Users now have the ability to create custom policies that cover all aspects of container images including operating systems packages, configuration files, user supplied binaries, and third party software libraries, including Node.JS, Ruby GEMs, Python modules and Java packages.

Through an intuitive and easy-to-navigate UI, developers, operations and security teams now can access an on-premises tool for navigation of container registries, add container images to inspect, scan entire repositories, view inspection results and track historic changes through a simple dashboard, view audit logs, and finally create and enforce custom policies applied to specific or groups of images, in just few steps.

“The open source community and enterprise customers have stepped up in helping us shape this latest version of Anchore,” said Saïd Ziouani, CEO and cofounder of Anchore. “With a continued focus on delivering the best possible container security and compliance platform, combined with tens of thousands of open source users, and over a dozen Fortune 100 companies deploying Engine today, Anchore Enterprise delivers on hardened, enterprise scale expectations.”
