Craig McConnon Group takes rave wear to a new level

Craig McConnon announces planned Onesie Wave Ultimate Rave

The Craig McConnon Group has locked a new event at their Peterborough venue, Re:Doubt. The Onesie Wave Ultimate Rave is set to take place at the weekend and tickets sales to the unique event are said to be flying. “Re:Doubt has shown some great growth over the past few weeks and so we decided to do something fun for our loyal ravers,” says Craig McConnon. “Rave clothing, EDM event and festival wear inspire enormous creativity and are an opportunity for self expression. I've seen some pretty amazing outfits in my time!”

Craig McConnon also knows that often people really can't decide between taking a pyjama day or going to the next gig, so he's made the decision easy: simply do both. “We don't usually have dress codes,” Craig McConnon says. “We leave it up to individual preference what you want to wear, but this event does have a dress code: onesies only.” But what's the case with onesies? Judging by the seemingly endless onesie trend, Generation Z could easily be called the pyjama generation. It's an age group where anything goes, particularly in party wear, but onesies are an international and multi generational phenomenon that can be found from Japan to Ketchikan and everywhere in between. “You can be sure everyone owns a onesie and we're expecting a record turnout and some awesome outfits.”

The Craig McConnon Group has said the event will be more than just an experiment in dress code, it will be a chance for top Craig McConnon Group DJs to test their mettle with some awesome new equipment. The company recently invested in some high-end software that will make the RDM experience even hotter. “We're experimenting with VirtualDJ to use big screen and projector graphics to enhance the visual experience for our clubbers,” says a company spokesman. “We're using videoskins to display exactly what we're doing in the booth with awesome animations and lighting effects so we can entertain with more than just sound.”

Craig McConnon is known for his amazing light shows and effects with foggers, hazers and the like. While he intends to continue with his well loved visual displays, he has been investigating amping up the atmosphere with some ultra size projections and animations to let his fan base in on the action in the booth. “Our custom designed skins make you feel like you're right up there mixing with the DJ,” says Craig McConnon. “Re:Doubt is the ideal venue to test the software out because it's so flexible. It's go that industrial feel and all those rooms so we can really put the software through its paces and do some amazing stuff. Combing it with the Onesie Wave is adding a bit of extra fun to the EDM playground event.”

The Craig McConnon Group has reportedly been working with developers on customising the software application for some time. “We've got the beat tunnels, loops, shaders, equalisers as well as some seriously psychedelic patterns and ambients going,” says Craig McConnon. “We've all put skin in the game working hard on trademark algorithms and developing unique styles not just in sound, but in light effects and total event experience.” However, the new software is not a replacement for a skilled DJ and the team is far from off the hook. “In a way it's more for us to manage in the booth, it's learning a different way of doing things but the results so far have been really awesome. We're looking forward to putting it all out there at Onesie Wave,” says Craig McConnon.

Craig McConnon himself has plugged in some of his best lighting effects to the new software application, adding his signature style to algorithms that take best to a new level. “It's been a really exciting project and I'm amped to really give it a red hot go at Re:Doubt,” says Craig McConnon. “I'm really pleased with how the Peterborough venue has attracted a great following, not just with locals but people travelling a long way to have the experience. They're a cool bunch and so open to innovation, we're ready to make it pop.”

The Craig McConnon Group is holding thumbs the Re:Doubt Onesie Wave Ultimate Rave will be the start of some great new innovations in the Craig McConnon Group. “The great thing about what we've been working on here is it takes our trademark style to a new level and gives us options we didn't have before,” says a company spokesman. “If all goes well, we'll be rolling it out to other clubs while making sure we keep differentiating ourselves from the crowd with top notch events that make the best even better.”
