More emphasis this year on patient outcomes and experience


New York, NY, Aug. 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U.S. News & World Report just released it’s Best Hospitals rankings for 2018- 2019. Among the esteemed top 15, are 8 hospitals that use CipherHealth’s technology to better their patient engagement and outcomes.


U.S. News compared more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide across 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. The rankings also took into consideration risk-adjusted survival and readmission rates, volume, patient experience, patient safety and quality of nursing, among other care-related indicators. Prominent changes to this year’s rankings included more emphasis on patient outcomes and patient experience measures.  

As the healthcare industry continues to find ways of prioritizing value over volume, patient engagement is becoming increasingly important.
