CARY, N.C., Sept. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading into the first pitch at the Durham Bulls August 31 home game against the Norfolk Tides, Chiesi (key-A-zee), a Cary-based specialty pharmaceutical company, culminated its strikeout presenting partnership with the Bulls in an on-field game ball and check presentation of $5,000 each to three local nonprofits – Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Children’s Flight of Hope and Me Fine Foundation.

As part of its Chiesi in the Community program, the company pledged to donate to three area charities for every strikeout a Bulls pitcher recorded. The recipient organizations were featured for 23 consecutive home games during the Bulls’ successful season, collecting 630 home strikeouts as of August 14.
